Water colour course, week III

 On to week three of the World Watercolour Month Challenge with EmJ Lefebvre, days 15 to 21. (See here for first article)

15 – The first part was practising textures on water using various methods – lifting, blooms, salt, dry brush, etc. The 2nd part was to create a waterscape using some of those techniques.

16 – A night scene with fireflies using wet-on-wet, gradients, blooms, and practising water control.

17 – Simple trees using various forms & shapes.

18 – Simple trees again but adding light & shadow to create depth.

19 – Colour mixing and learning to create shadow colours.

20 – A simple beachball using the mixing techniques learned the previous day plus shadow & light, blending, wet-on-wet, lifting.

21 – Creating loose florals from dropped colour blobs then using a variety of techniques that we’ve learned to create a picture.
