MORE THAN A FACE: 2-day mixed media portrait workshop, faces and fragments.
Go beyond the traditional portrait and explore how a face can become a starting point for a deeper story. Guided by professional portrait artist Audrey Smith, participants will combine drawing, painting and collage to create portraits that are anything but ordinary. Build up layers of colour, texture, and ephemera, using fragments and found elements to suggest personality, memory and narrative. Birch painting panels and all other painting/drawing materials included. A playful exploration of portraiture for artists of all levels.
