At a recent Studio Time session at the Glengarry Hub, I challenged myself to sketch a Douglas Fir tree with as many media as I could.  This is all prep work for a painting that will feature such trees.  The result of my sketching efforts is a forest of trees in (left to right starting with top row):  acrylic paint markers, Staedtler markers, oil pastels, Crayola crayons, alcohol-based ink markers (my fave of the forest), and charcoal pencils.
