I have a Collectif Creativity for you…Yarn wigs.
The pinkish red one is my first ever wig made for a cosplay of a cartoon called Winx Club.

The red one I am in cosplay of the main character, Bloom, from the cartoon called Winx Club.

The pale long haired wig was the villain from the Winx Club cartoon.

And the final one is a failed attempt at a Sailor Moon wig (I didn’t get the buns or the pigtails right).

I have done many smaller wigs, but these are the four full size wigs I have attempted. None of them are really good, but I had fun making them. I started making full size yarn wigs in February of 2026. It’s interesting to see how far I have come in such a short time.
They are all made with either cotton, polyester, or acrylic yarn. I glue them all to a wig cap that is an easy one-step creation. Take a pair of pantyhose, put the two legs into two knots and cut the excess so it fits your head. I usually use newly purchased pantyhose from Dollar Store. If your head is large I would recommend D size: my wigs usually have a bump in the back so I should scale down to a C size. If it’s a custom wig I would measure the circumference of the head and add to the mannequin’s dimensions, but I generally use the mannequin head I have which is made of Styrofoam.
Oh and Winx Club’s reboot is on Netflix, and most of the Original seasons are on YouTube to watch for Free!
Way to go Victoria… keep going with your wigs…they look like fun! …Sandra
