I am sharing a little about how I was lucky enough that the boulder that was blocking my creativity for the past few years simply went Vamoose. The following is the result of the first two weeks of activity in my studio after that. 

First, the Chrysalis Series.   

I always had a curious and somewhat profound attraction for the universe of tiny creatures making their way into our world.  The chrysalis has been cocooning all that time in the non-fiction/nature storage of my mind.  

Second, the Paper Doll Series.  

This, I cannot explain.  It blurted to the surface out of the blue. 

It must be from the joy of quietly playing dress-up with paper dolls as a little kid.  What is powerful about them, to me anyway, is the memory of mixing up tops, bottoms and accessories without the worry of doing it right or wrong.  I associate it with freedom, simplicity and innocent pleasure. A time when life was simple.
