Collectif Creativity: 30Dec2024

by Lynne Ayers

Experimentation day.   I drew random shapes on a piece of 300 gm watercolour paper and cut them out with a sharp knife to create a stencil.  I saved the shapes that I cut out to use as masks.

Experimenting on an old watercolour painting that I never finished, I used different parts of the stencil and different masks randomly and overlapping.  Obviously abstract, I have viewed it rotated in all directions and am willing to stop here for the day.

Tomorrow will no doubt provide additional assessment.  lynneayersartist.wordpress.com

  1. Hum, hum…. I love your experimentation, Lynne, thank you for sharing. Now, I’m wondering… could I use the same technique with the stamps? Shaping, glueing, rotating… How interesting and challenging this is to end 2024! Or to start 2025? This is what I like with you, guys at the Collective. You expand my horizon. New shapes, new perspectives, new adventures. Thank you all.
