Here is a creative project I began over 10 years ago. Initially there was just a slope of weeds and bracken. Mike mowed if for me and then we began to fill the slope with rocks, to my design. His tractor could not get them all the way up the slope, so I moved many of them into place by myself.

The soil came next.

Then I began with the plants. Over the years I have worked on it, some plants made it, others did not, but it was all mostly trial and error. The tree in the center of the garden fell down a couple of years ago. Each season has its own colours, so it is ever changing. And all of those rocks are still there, underneath it all, which makes weeding a bit tricky.

Wow, all kinds of ways to be creative! Share your projects, with a pic or two, by emailing to cagac.ca@gmail.com
That’s a beautiful use made of Glengarry’s moraine.

Thanks for sharing, Susan. It’s great to see the pictures over the years. It’s also great to discover another passion of yours.

Labours of love. I too have hauled and rolled into place hundreds of pounds of Glengarry rock.
