I don’t know whether I’m allowed to contribute as I’m no longer a resident of North Glengarry. [“Members moving from Glengarry maintain the balance of their annual membership but cannot renew.” Brenda is now in Ottawa. Ed.]
I haven’t unpacked all my art supplies and I’ve been purchasing some Ikea furniture so I looked around at what I had to work with and it was scissors, glue, felt pens, some New Yorker magazines, and those Ikea instruction booklets.
Here’s the result:

Collage on newsprint, mixed media

Thank you, Brenda for sharing this collage and your process. I liked it when you wrote: I looked around at what I had to work with. Constraints are very inspiring, I find too. Enjoy Ottawa.

Love the collage, Brenda, and I can appreciate the sentiments behind it. I’d love to have a new Ikea desk too! Sorry to see you leave us, but wishing you all the best in your new Ottawa life. If you have moved to the East end, Arteast is a good group to join.
