I have been following Emma Jane Lefebvre’s 31-Day Watercolour videos, hoping to improve my technique. The exercises are fun to do. I was faithfully doing one each day until I took time off to go on a retreat with my daughter, Gabrielle, and forgot to resume when we returned. Well, I am back to doing one a day again.
In response to the “Collectif Creativity Content Call”, I am sharing two of the exercises below, a couple of my better efforts.
Emma Jane… (I had an old maid aunt with that very name! She used to treat us to dulse [a dark red edible seaweed, collected from the mud flats of the Bay of Funday] as we sat with her on her “piazza”, as she called her veranda)… Anyway, Emma Jane Lefebvre has a library of videos free for anyone’s use. Just type in her name and her site should surface if you are interested.
The first watercolour is supposed to be a sunset; the second, flowers of no particular name.
