Collectif Challenge: 3Jun2024, Up & Down

By Yvonne Callaway We’re told, what goes up MUST come down. That applies to hot air balloons. The French term, Montgolfier, sounds more romantic and is historically accurate. I imagine the daily commute executed in these colourful vehicles.

By Susan Irving [Under the heading, Great Minds Think Alike! Ed.]

Susan submits a work for each direction:

#1.  (Up) Balloons over Rockcliff from the Ottawa/Gatineau Balloon Festival.

#2. (Down) Rain on the Beach, West Point P.E.I.

Up and down they go.
Birds. Hummingbirds.

Oh you just missed the third bird.

By Milo Smith I found this a very tough challenge! What goes up and down that I might have photographed? Ah, I know: how about an osprey taking off and landing?  So here we have an osprey male leaving the nest in the first shot and landing in the next.

By Claudette Vaillancourt Winterlude 2024 was the perfect occasion to practice up & down on this great seesaw!   It brought back a few forgotten memories and many giggles!

By Margaret Stewart [In this instance, the weather went up and down.]

ART is happening  everywhere, any time.

We had a cold  night and  on the  whole hood of  my blue RAM truck was, of course, frosty.

I walked past it and then  totally took another closer look. Then kept losing myself to the swirls and the light crystals reflecting on the hood .

Surprised me, this incredible, stunning, glistening art work early one spring morning in April. The gone it was,  in 20 seconds after turning on the truck.

But l am glad I got a picture of it!

By Isabelle Utovac This is my first time using my black paper and metallic coloured pencils. I found it very easy to paint. Visual arts are an iterative process for me which is very different from my usual preparation of tasks.

Ceci est ma première fois à utiliser le papier noir et les crayons de couleurs métalliques. Je l’ai trouver très facile à peindre. Les arts visuels sont un processus itératif pour moi qui est très différent de ma préparation habituelle de tâches.
