Collectif Creativity: 18jan2024

by Laura Peck

Rethinking.

December displayed all my beloved stamps,

On boards of all kinds: cedar, cradle and white.

All cute.

The Library solo exhibition

Provided cookies, laughter, and discussion.

And a perfect transition.

No more stamps.

No more boards.

Lots of satisfaction.

2024 opened new horizons.

Then Christmas came

Full of cookies, laughter, and surprises.

Packaged in home-made boxes, gifts, and jars.

Some even came in envelopes:

Festive, manila, or white.

All promises.

More stamps.

Full stamp sheets.

Full stamp booklets.

Too many possibilities.

Quickly, I put them out of sight.

Even faster, my hands took the lead.

Cutting, steaming, sorting.

Mesmerized by the colors, the dates and the shapes.

So eclectic.

People and purpose jumping around me,

Merrily.

T’was the season, happily.

I changed my mind. Not my heart, nor my soul.

In 2024 I trust.

Patience. Pattern. Process.

No need for perfection.

Vive la RÉUTILISATION.
