I love to read, but not to write. Much as I love to listen to music, but not to make it.
As a child and as a young adult with small children , I used to love to write and make up stories, but somehow over the years, I lost the desire to do so and I rarely feel the inspiration or need to now. My focus is mainly visual art. I do not consider myself to be much of a writer these days, however, on occasion I do get inspired, and tonight is one of those times.
So here is my feeble effort at prose:
9:30 pm. What a truly beautiful late June evening! There is a bright yellow new moon in the northwestern sky with a star shining slightly above. Mars, I suspect, as it has a red hue. The other stars are starting to emerge in the dusky twilight. It is a warm evening, but not humid and the mosquitos are hungry, but not too bad. Fireflies are abundant and putting on quite the twinkling light show over the fields and in the darkening woods. A solitary cricket is singing in the rock garden.

Everyone, share informative, inspiring Show & Tell demonstrating the creative mind.
Thank you, Susan, for a lovely confirmation of what I, too, saw in my country garden. Often distracted by the busy light of our daily world, it is a blessing to come upon a glimpse of tranquility. Sent from my Galaxy
